Tactical Combat Casualty Care - Basic

from $150.00

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) was developed by the Defense Health Agency in response to the massive amount - roughly 24% of combat related and 20% of civilian trauma deaths - which were potentially preventable if treated prior to medical personnel arriving on scene. TCCC - Basic is meant to prepare you as a first responder to intervene and stabilize a casualty before medical personnel arrive. You will learn the three phases of TCCC and the basic implementation of the MARCH algorithm and its associated medical interventions.

This curriculum will take approximately 8 hours to complete, with a maximum class size of 10 students.

Students MUST bring a means of taking notes.

Upon competition of this course all students will receive a certificate of completion, making them eligible for the next echelon of training.

In this course you will conduct:

  1. Rapid casualty assessments

  2. Tourniquet application

  3. Hemostatic dressing application

  4. Pressure dressing application

  5. Airway maneuvers

  6. Recognizing and caring for head injuries

  7. Recognizing and caring for burns

  8. Recognizing and caring for fractures

  9. Patient turnover with medical personnel

  10. A scenario testing your newly learned skills while under stress

All students will have an option to purchase a General Purpose Trauma Kit (GUTK) or Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) upon completion of the course.
